Ersgard is a 250 year old farm located in the contryside of Stjørdal, just 5 km from Trondheim Airport. Ersgard is a perfect place for small conferences, meetings, meals and accommodation. Ersgard is also nice for vacation. You can combine a daytrip to the city of Trondheim  with salmon fishing and a visit in our farm shop the day after. Look at the map.

Farm buildings

The houses were built in 1755 round a square farmyard, which gives a special feeling of peace and ancient times. The main building has been kept in its old form, with “storstuggu” as the most central room. The interior here  has been kept unchanged for 150 years, and gives a special setting for a good talk or a good meal.

A good meal

We serve traditional food in the old way: The food is passed around in big bowls and you eat as much as you want. The food is made from local ingredients and from old recipies. The atmosphere of the meal is given a special touch by the old walls, furniture and the heat from the old black stove.

The meal can be served in connection with meetings, small conferences, private parties, celebrations, and for companies that want to give their guests a special evening.

Meetings and conferences

This is the place where you can leave the daily, busy life and think new thoughts in a special setting, where you can feel the presens of the various people using these rooms during 250 years. One of the owners of the farm even took part in the making of the Norwegian Constitution in 1814. We offer techical equipment.

Salmon fishing

The farm offers fishing in Stjørdalselva, a stay for one week or fishing for just one day. Fishermen stay in the main building and may have their own household there. Special service may be arranged.

Accommodation

We offer 5 bedrooms with 9 beds. There is only one toilet and one bathroom, but that might add a special feeling of living in another time, as the bedrooms are also in the old style. However, the beds are modern, with linen of hotel standard.

Farm shop

In our shop in the barn we sell wooden toys, wool products and a big variety of local handicraft. The shop opens whenever you want. Your souvenir from Stjørdal can be found here.
